Response and Recovery Update

If you are a business that has experienced damage as a result of flooding, please register your damage with Vermont 211 through their online form. The form does not initiate or guarantee aid but will allow the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD), Vermont Emergency Management, and regional economic development partners to have a central outreach database for quickly getting information directly to businesses. If you are unable to use the online form, you can also call 2-1-1 to share your information. Please note that ACCD has confirmed with the U.S. Small Business Administration that:

  1. Businesses can clean up the mud and debris along with damaged inventory, equipment, furniture, and fixtures, and remain eligible for disaster loans but must take pictures of everything and document all expenses.
  2. Businesses can replace ruined inventory, equipment, and supplies and remain eligible for disaster loans but must take pictures of everything and document all expenses.

ACCD has additionally launched a flood resource page with up-to-date information on documenting damages, business resources and guides, guidance and flood disaster procedures from other state agencies and partners and volunteer resources.

The Department will continue to update this page and other DLL information channels with relevant updates for our stakeholders as they become available. Please contact Charles.martin@vermont.gov with questions.
